Cuneiform and OCR

Recently, a question surfaced at the institute: did anyone drive cuneiform characters with OCR algorithms? And did he compare the recognition of characters in ordinary fonts with cuneiform characters?

I read about such things for a long time, in the USA IT is widely used in archeology It is used. It is better to look for information on foreign sites, it is useless in Runet.
