CTF. How and where to prepare?
I recently heard about such a very popular competition as CTF. Many have heard of him. In it, students and not only compete in the field of information security. Accordingly, the question arose: where and, most importantly, how do these very participants of the competition actually learn?

I have already moved away from these cases, so my answer is incomplete and not entirely relevant, but still.
It was like this: we have a student seminar where team members talk about all sorts of infosec stuff like cryptography, web security, reversing, etc. The team also regularly participates in all sorts of competitions after which (not immediately, but after a couple of days) an analysis is carried out, which tells how this or that task was solved. It is useful to read write-ups (often links to them can be found on ctftime ).
And there is also the Summer School “Development of CTF in Russia” , but I have never been there, so I can’t say anything.
