Cross-platform mobile development: how to write games and applications?

Hello. Asked a question about mobile development and came to the conclusion that cross-platform will save our souls.
Can anyone suggest a good development framework? In particular, these are games, but if applications can be written on it, this will be a huge plus.
We start from the fact that I do not know anything from languages. But in my humble opinion, it's better for mobile development to learn Java ME instead of cross-platform JavaScript.
Please, offer only what you understand and what you are sure of: I think this topic is interesting not only for me.

If you do not know languages, but want to make games, then I will give a very banal answer: Unity3D. Cross-platform, but you still have to learn some language.
And in general, maybe I don’t understand something in this life, of course, but isn’t it too early to think about cross-platform and about saving your soul if you don’t know a single language? It is necessary to start studying something, and not think about cross-platform.
And what is the connection between mobile development and JavaScript? JS is a scripting language for the browser, a language for client-side development. Of course, this code will work on all platforms, but what are you going to do on it?

If 2D games, then Corona SDK. If 3D - Unity.

Try Unity3D. Convenient and powerful engine + editor.
You can use JS too, check out Phaser and Pixi .
And where did you dig up Java ME in 2014, I wonder?
