Creating Thumbnails from PPT and extracting text?

Good afternoon!
There are about 1000 Powerpoint presentations and I need to make thumbnails of each slide for each presentation and also extract the text (plain) from the slides. Tell me, in which direction to dig? I realized that you first need to convert ppt to pdf, and then make previews from pdf, but I don’t understand how to pull out the text (
Has anyone encountered a similar task?
