Creating a game in linux. What toolkit to choose?

Request to practitioners to suggest what to dig, where to dig, to create a multi-platform 3d simulation game in linux using physics. Knowledge in general in the topic 0, so I will master everything from scratch.
Or perhaps there are those who have the knowledge and desire to write / code, but do not know where to apply them for the common good? )
s.s.
I want to get a specific answer from a real practice of game-simulator building under linux,
go to gamedev.ru, google, etc. and guessed it myself, I'm confused, I need a specific solution from an experienced practitioner.
The difficulty is that I'm interested in creating a virtual environment / simulation of the world with relatively accurate physics, while most game solutions are sharpened a little differently, often going through the fake world.
AllKnowerHou , I'm not sure what will fit, as far as I watched it, it will not allow you to go beyond its limitations, and java will be slower than c ++

UDK, Unity3D.
With their help, you can make games under Linux.
Development, of course, under Windows / OS X. You can do it under a virtual machine.

@Vasily, there are too many options, I need specific advice from practitioners, because. I can decide on my own only after studying all the options, and this is a long time, I want to immediately focus on one thing and not be sprayed.

I support OnYourLips , most of the good engines, unfortunately, are not available for Linux. It is best for you to put Windows as the 2nd axis, and
I do not recommend choosing between Unity3D / Unreal Engine 4. She will be too slow for that.
Well, if you don’t go to install Windows, then here ’s the first link in Google

Of the open cross-platform engines, perhaps the most cross-platform Irrlicht Engine. There is a series of video tutorials on the engine on Habré, see here : habrahabr.ru/users/scanner/topics
write your own, or I don’t even know what to advise you.
upd. Well, if Bullet has enough features, and Java, for one reason or another, is preferable to C ++, then libGDX

For Game Development in C++, Qt Creator and Gobot Engine are suitable. - are in the repositories
Construct 2 works fine on Wine, RPG Maker
I don't know, but these ones I listed are the easiest to install.

If you don’t want to download tons of gigabytes and wait all day for compiling shaders (a stone in the UE garden),
then I advise you to pay attention to the new Blender 2.8 game engine
https://armory3d.org
channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3NhbIAFWseatqDP2. ..
In the end, all you need is: the
Blender build that comes with Armory3D + it also comes with its own code editor Kode Studio based on VScodium (an open fork of VScode)
and that's it, cool right?)
The engine supports the node structure logic, so you can make games without writing code ^ ^
here I dashed off a lesson on how to make a menu for a game, from it you can understand the main essence of development on Armory
