Creating a client library for OPDS - where can I get an example of good code?

I noticed that there are no open-source OPDS clients on the Internet at all, and each developer gets out as best he can and invents his own bicycles. From this came the desire to make your own universal bike that other people could use. And so that they can use it without disgust, I want to see a good interface for other libraries that do similar things.
For those who do not know what OPDS is, it is a kind of library catalog based on atom feed (an alternative to rss). You can see how it looks live here , for example. On it you can navigate, use the search and get information about the books and the books themselves.
What I want to do is write a wrapper library over OPDS. But for now, I'm at a complete loss on how to make the frontend usable. If someone can suggest open-source python libraries that implement remotely similar functionality, and whose interface suits you, please answer.
