Covers and copyright, what to do?

I have a question, people cover famous songs and most of them don't have their own chords, etc. Do they violate copyright? From the songs of KiSh, the gas sector to new trendy songs, do covers of them impose a restriction on the channel? I just see a lot of videos on YouTube in which the guitarist has a huge audience, although they perform these songs, I doubt that they somehow agreed with the owners or someone else about this
