Correct Bitrix CNC setting?

Component connections are located in the corresponding directories "/catalog/", "/news/", etc.
Requires:
- element url to be /catalog/section/element.html
- section url to be /catalog/section.html
- root section url to be /catalog.html
What is the best way to set up urls for root sections?

From the point of view of search engines, end pages, not sections, should end with html, so it would be correct like this:
/catalog/
/catalog/section/
/catalog/section/element.html
This will not affect ranking explicitly, but will help search engines index correctly website.
