Copying folders from one branch to another?

Tell me how to copy one folder from one development branch and transfer it to another branch? Is it possible to do this directly in the visual studio editor? Heard that you can somehow take this folder from Github? I tried to just copy the folder while in the branch, then switch to another branch and just tried to paste, but it gives an error!

You go to the original branch, copy the folder to 3rd place, go to the destination branch, copy the folder from 3rd place there. An error, because at the time of switching branches, the folder is no longer in place.
