Convert wav to mp3. What are the optimal parameters for voice compression?

There is an ever-growing set of voice recorder recordings in wav format. I want to overtake them to mp3 so that they take up less space.
For now, I do it using a simple and reliable method:

ffmpeg.exe -i FileName.wav -vn -ar 44100 -ac 2 -ab 192 -f mp3 FileName.mp3

In general - since I have very little idea of codecs, which ones compress better, what range they are designed for - I wanted to ask: what parameters are best used in order to compress recordings as much as possible and at the same time the sound was not much worse than the original material?
There are ONLY human voices on the recording - as far as I understand, the voice range is not so wide, maybe you can choose such transcoding parameters that take this into account and compress it more efficiently?

For a voice, MONO and a bitrate of around 64 kbs will suffice. It is better to set up directly on the recorder. If possible, you can turn on the VBR mode altogether.
Use lame - he seems to still be the best presser.
