Convenient publication of files (for download) in Wordpress. What to choose?

There is a task of publishing files for download on a Wordpress site. Posting links to files from the media library is not appropriate. Need minimal automation - file icon, drag-in-drop.
Went through different wordpress solutions/plugins. As a result, I can say that their creators, on the one hand, greatly complicate the task with different statistics, authorization, which is unnecessary for me. On the other hand, the concept of such solutions does not suit me. In the vast majority of solutions, it is proposed to create a separate category for files, in which a record is added, you add files to the record and then you already throw a shortcode for files in the article.
For example, I work with Bitrix where my task is simply and elegantly solved through the fields of the info block. For the article, I add attachments in the editor. Photos will become a gallery, files - a download list.

PS I know about Advanced Custom Fields, I would like a ready-made solution.

1) do everything through custom fields. ACF plugin
2) use the Use Your Drive plugin (uses Google Drive). A very good plugin. There is a form for uploading a file directly to Drive through the VI. You can create a file, audio, photo and video library. When registering each user, you can create a folder for him and much more.
