Controlling a window from the keyboard in Ubuntu?

Is it possible in Ubuntu (Gnome shell or Unity) to set keyboard shortcuts for moving and resizing a window?
Important: not the way Alt + F7 activates the movement - then the arrows move the window - then it is confirmed by Enter, but the movement itself.
For example, now I have Win + <arrow> set up in Fluxbox - shift the window in the appropriate direction; Win+Alt+<arrow> - resize the window. I would like this in popular managers.

Ubuntu 11.10:
Ctrl+Alt+<number on the numeric keypad>
Move the active window to any position. Press multiple times to resize. Those.
Ctrl+Alt+6 - half screen window, like left pane
Ctrl+Alt+6 again - 1/3 of the screen...

Awesome can work as a window manager in Gnome. You'll like it.
