Console utility for merging images?

There are a number of jpg images (conditionally 10,000 pieces), each 512 by 512 pixels.
You need a console utility under Windows to glue them back-to-back into one whole, i.e. in my case, 100 by 100 images (with a final size of 51200 by 51200 pixels). Gluing not in a panorama, but simply one to another, like a mosaic. I know that it is possible through Photoshop or through, for example, Xnview, but it is the console solution that is needed. Please advise.

Of course, you can use ImageMagick (Montage command), but I would advise jpegtran as a lossless option that does not require image compression
