Connections with increasing blocking of resources (github.com in November, bitcoin.org today) - I decided to try TOR. How to traceroute through socks?

I followed the instructions on help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/tor, and I must say everything was successful.
I did a number of tests on speedtest.net, and came to the conclusion that:
- I have an ip address from France;
- when the service is restarted (sudo service privoxu restart), the ip address does not change;

- speed and ping when I choose my city within the same limits as without using tor.

From here the question has matured, and I decided to execute traceroute, - but how to execute traceroute through socks? What is the TOR network anyway?

@gbg

But no way. TRACEROUTE uses the ICMP protocol to receive responses. ICMP does not pass through SOCKS, only TCP or UDP.
