Connecting via vnc from home to a work computer

Hello!
Please advise how to implement a VNC connection from home to a work computer, if the home computer has a dedicated IP address, and at work there is one external IP for the entire local network?
There is no access to the server distributing the Internet at work, it will not be possible to agree with the administrator.

Maybe I'm not quite on the topic, but isn't TeamViewer right for you ?
Free for personal use, very convenient.

I have been using the “reverse tunnels” method by Putty for a long time. Of course, for this, the home IP must be accessible from work via ssh and some server has been set up at home to manage this tunnel.
True, on Habré I was already scolded for using this method, so I will not give a link to my post.

for vnc, it is still desirable to have a dedicated ip, or port forwarding on the gateway server, and since it is impossible to agree with the administrator, the best thing for your purposes is team viewer, log Me in or something like that

Raise the tunnel in IPv6 and get a dedicated address for the working computer. go6.net/

The essence is the same, you just don't have to forward the 22nd port, but 5190.

in VNC there is such a possibility that it is not the server that becomes the connection initializer. Turn on the VNC client on your home computer, set something like “listen to such and such a port”, and on the server add the client’s IP address ...
