Connecting bootstrap to Pug via Gulp?

I can't figure out how to install bootstrap in my project via the Gulp terminal to work with Pug. did npm install bootstrap, as well popperas jquery. as I understand it, they are now in node_modules, I don’t know what to do next. how to connect it in order to work with it, do I need to write requests in julpfiles.js or not? I have already set up Pug (I didn’t work with it before, now I started to study it), it remains to connect the bootstrap grid to it and write code.
