Connect to L2TP from Android without having to go online through a VPN gateway?

There is a configured VPN server running on the L2TP protocol.
I want clients from android devices to join, but the Internet connection went through a regular provider.
You don't want the VPN to be the default gateway.
In Windows, the checkbox "do not use the gateway" is ticked, but on android it was not found.
Can you please tell me where to find this setting? Does she exist at all? Or look for some third party L2TP VPN client?

In the vpn settings, find something like "forwarding routes" and fill in the address space of the vpn network, for example, in my case it is 172.16.0.0/16. Then all traffic, except for this network, will bypass vpn
