I have a macbook air 13 and two monitors with dvi and vga inputs. How can you connect them?
I know that one can be connected via DisplayPort, but is it possible via usb?

There are usb-to-dvi adapters . In 99% of cases, these are video cards based on the DisplayLink chip. And accordingly there is a driver for OSX. According to the experience of use, I will say that they noticeably slow down, but they do their job. Ato what you were advised above - these are splitters. The image will either be repeated, or the poppy will think that this is one monitor.
