Config management with version control under Linux?

Prompt config management system for Linux environment with the following characteristics
1. Free / Free software
2. Built-in versioning system.
3. Normal GUI that allows you to make all changes, see diff with previous versions and deploy new configs. And all this without manually writing creepy scripts in the internal language. Well, or with minimal scripting inclusions in the right places.
Something like puppet or chef, but there are no paragraphs 2 and 3.

Regarding the fact that git is not suitable - it's not surprising, it's not a unix way to solve all problems at once in one way. To store the base, let it be git, for deployment, for example, chef. At the expense of gui - did not look at casserole?
