Computer won't sleep
The computer is at work, it turns off normally, but when you press the Sleep button or through the “Sleep” menu, the computer enters sleep (turns off), and then turns on after a second. You have to wait until it turns off, press the button. In the morning we turn it on and the system boots normally.
What could be the problem?

Give more space (maybe the swap is growing?)
Mice \ keyboards \ network card can be taken out of sleep
For me (and two other people) in the seventh Windows, it helps in the device manager to remove the daws with the permission to wake up the network card, mouse and keyboard. I suspect it will help you too.
In the BIOS, you can find a list of devices that are allowed / prohibited from waking the computer from hibernation
And take out the network cable, maybe wakeup on lan works.
A few years ago, many Asus motherboards were distinguished by the presence of jumpers responsible for choosing the watchdog voltage supply line. it might be related to your problem. try reading the manual for a description of the function of the 5V and 5VSB selection jumpers.
In Windows 7, this behavior can be observed if it is loaded from an inactive partition. For example, if you have Linux as a second system and boot through older versions of GRUB.
In my old car, this behavior was due to the keyboard. Cured by installing a PS / 2-USB adapter
