Composer swears when installing Backpack for Laravel - what does he want from me and how critical is it?

Hello.
When installing Backpack for Laravel via composer install, I received two warnings:

Deprecation warning: require.backpack/MenuCRUD is invalid, it should not contain 
 uppercase characters. Please use backpack/menucrud instead. Make sure you fix t
 his as Composer 2.0 will error.

and

Warning: The lock file is not up to date with the latest changes in composer.jso                    
n. You may be getting outdated dependencies. Run update to update them.

What does he want from me?
Can it just be ignored?
