Compiling a .NET application to native code?
Greetings!
Previously, there was a lot of news about compiling a .NET application to native code (.NET Native). As far as I understood, the meaning was in:
- One output binary.
- Speed close to C++.
- Run on the machine "as is" (no need to install additional software).
If I remember correctly, earlier the main problem was that you could only compile UWP applications for wine stores (Currently .NET Native only works on Windows Store apps).
How are things going with this technology at the moment, is there any progress in expanding supported products (not just UWP)?
