Community Council. Which forum engine is in fashion these days?

I haven't used various engines for a long time (since 1.5 joomla). Now there is a need to make a web application / forum in VK. a couple of questions from here.
1. what engine is in the thread now? what do you think?
2. I would like to support mobile phones out of the box and possibly adaptive layout
3. Authorization via social networks
UPD PHP!

It's strange that no one mentioned XenForo. Every second forum is on it.
All 3 points are supported and a bunch of everything else.

I recommend Vanilla. Free, the ideology of the engine is modularity, on its basis you can create even a regular forum, even a questionnaire, and even a blog. Minus - the modules are often crooked and nailed (they do not take into account all the possibilities of the engine and do not develop, you have to cut them with your hands). The mobile version is made with separate mobile/responsive themes. Maybe now it’s better with all this, I’ve been poking for a long time, there seems to be a new major version already out. Regarding trends - forums are not in trend at all now :D

For me, there are 2 "favorites" - XenForo and phpBB 3.xx I was
not particularly pleased with such engines as FluxBB (the design is not ice, and the code is at the same stage), UseBB.
So UseBB is a good interesting engine, it reminds of an old wap in design... But to suffer with Russian is a butt. Regardless of the encoding, there are 2 options for writing Russian characters:
1. To hell with cutting them out with the engine.
2. Setting the names in Russian in PMA and getting highly artistic krakozyabrs ...
And you can keep silent about phpBB and XenForo - they already have no equal on the market. At least for me.
