Coffeescript and jQuery. Swears at jquery code?

When trying to compile it crashes into an error$(".slick").slick -> {}

:2:3: error: unexpected (
$(".slick").slick -> {}
 ^

It doesn't show anything in the search. Everywhere they write that such a design is viable. What am I doing wrong?
