For journalism, Russian media use vBulletin(mobile-review.com), WordPress(android.mobile-review.com, macdigger), Bitrix(Onliner.by; internet mall).
You need a starter CMS. The question is what to choose - vBulletin, WordPress or Bitrix. Create your own template and layout or buy ready-made for WordPress.
Also interesting is the question of buying a web server and transferring CMS to it with all MySQL saves. In this regard, the choice of CMS for journalism is relevant.
I don't want it to be just a blog. This should be a media resource that will work directly with businesses in the sections People, Fashion and Style, Technology. The option https://bigpicture.ru/ is very interesting.

1) If you have serious plans, then I would recommend abandoning the CMS in favor of the CMF and ordering a website tailored specifically for your goals. As a framework, you can choose symfony, laravel, yii2

And if on something else, then you will have to install the necessary packages ... ruby, python, java etc.
My opinion, if a serious project, then immediately order a site on frameworks and take the VPS.

For a blog or a small media site, both WP and Bitrix are equally suitable. In the answers, I did not see any objective reasons why the latter should be deleted.
The advantages of WP are free, relatively easy to install and configure. There are many ready-made themes for it, sharpened specifically for your purposes. I like the text editor and the media library more there (uploading photos for articles).
For Bitrix you will need to buy a license. For a site of your scale, it will be inexpensive, but still needed. The visual text editor is less convenient there. But on the other hand, Bitrix, IMHO, is more flexible in the implementation of some non-standard features. It is easier to scale for heavy loads, and if everything is done correctly, the site will be very fast.
Вам, думаю, стоит остановиться на WP, чтобы быстро запустить свой продукт, проверить, попрёт или нет. Если да - то потом сможете переехать на любой другой движок, который будет отвечать вашим реальным потребностям. В вашем деле ведь главное - контент, а не CMS.

Думаю что лучше Битрикс, в нем намного все удобней, общение с клиентами, настройки для менеджеров и тд.
