Cmd+w in PhpStorm on MAC?

In general, I can’t get along with the fact that cmd + w (text selection) on MAC does not work like it does in Windows.
Namely, when I need to select a specific section that is somehow connected in meaning (variable value, function code), I use CMD+W. In Windows, it selected a smaller area, which seemed to me much more convenient: Example of

I always switched Cmd+W to close tab :-)
