Clicked delete file, then canceled deletion, but the file can no longer be found. What to do?

I was given access to a folder on google drive. One of the files in the folder was accidentally deleted, but managed to click "cancel". After canceling, it showed that the file was automatically added to the folder. When you click on a file in the history, it shows that the file cannot be found. What to do?

First, let the owner check the file. You could simply "delete" the file so that it is no longer visible only to you, ie. you have lost access to it.
Secondly, if you (or the owner of the file, or someone else with access) have the Google Drive desktop client installed on your computer (Google Backup and Sync Client, in my opinion, it used to be called), then the direct option would be to remove hard drive from that computer, connect it to another and do a full scan with a data recovery program, for example, R.saver .
Also check the phones - someone may have saved the file they need for offline use.
If everything was only online, then you have approximately the following set of options:
  • If someone in the browser history or bookmarks has a direct link to the desired file, log in, and then try to open it. There you can already try to resave, download or export, and also pay attention to the “See Revision History” or “Manage Versions” item, depending on the file format.
  • If you have Google Workspace (aka G Suite, aka Google Apps), then ask the admin to get the file through the Admin Console, this can be done within 25 days even after complete removal. Admin Console -> Users -> RMB on the owner login or yours -> Restore Data. Also let the admin check Apps → G Suite → Drive and Docs → Manage Team Drives (this is for files deleted from the recycle bin, you can select both files and a range of dates to restore there).
  • Try using the Google Takeout option (downloading all your data from Google).
  • Contact Google support if you have simple accounts. Support can do what the admin above does (probably the owner of the file should write, and it's better not to delay it): https://support.google.com/drive/answer/1716222?hl...
