First of all, the following points are of interest:
1. What plugins / flags affect the speed, which ones should be disabled painlessly?
2. Is it normal for a tab to have 80 MB of RAM on average?
3. Is it normal that when you open 10 tabs at the same time, the current tab freezes. That is, even scrolling does not work on it, not to mention clicking on links.

ps I often clean cookies, I often clean the system (CCleaner). Tried reinstalling Chrome. Tried to completely delete files from the profile. The problems started sort of like after updating to version 13.0.782.220 m. Installed Beta, same thing. Stupid both on a working desktop and on a home laptop. Tupit with different profiles. Everything is fine in other browsers, but there is no desire to leave Chrome!

You can try to disable hardware acceleration, but if it's glitches.

I have in Chrome and in all modern browsers about the same.

I also have this problem not only with Chrome. When I had a task related to the constant opening of many tabs, I used the Opera, everything was OK there.
Are you sure that Chrome slows down on your computer, have you seen it work faster somewhere, or do other browsers work faster?

Decided almost a problem , because some brakes still remain, but there are an order of magnitude fewer of them! Well, or no more than in other browsers. I have been using Chrome for a month and a half without the slightest desire to start another browser. I wish you the same!
