Choosing an Android tablet for education
Hi hubr! I climbed a bunch of topics on tablets, but still haven’t decided on a tablet for my tasks:
- reading PDF (technical literature)
- a few movies
- charging via USB
- good screen
- 9.7 "diagonal (I think that the most convenient for reading, if you can suggest something else, I’m ready to discuss!) The problem is that with a good resolution (2048x1536) there are almost no such tablets on android ...
- Preferably not China, there was experience with using the Cube U18GT2, the overall impression is terrible.
- unpretentious toys like Kingdom Rush
- Budget, everything is complicated here. Optimally 6 thousand. But ready and more (comfortable price of up to 10 thousand, if you really can’t find hardware for tasks cheaper)
-3G is not necessary, only Wi-Fi

We are sure that “9.7 diagonal” is just a question when you take it with you. mk. I threw 7 "into any pocket (inner jacket, back pants, jacket) and ran.
I
have experience using both 10" and 7 ".
And if you approach in general, then the reader is ideal for “education”. I myself switched to Kindle Paperwhite from a tablet and have no regrets. Any literature is always there (I read a lot). Eyes do not strain at all (there is no fatigue). Having a good backlight solves a big problem with older models (reading in the dark). In addition, they have a very comfortable native case. And I enjoy watching movies on a larger screen with excellent sound.
I bought myself a Barnes&Nooble HD+ for reading textbooks and technical literature.
For me, this is the ideal large (9) screen and about 8-9 hours of continuous reading / watching videos.
Together with delivery from the states, it cost me 6500 rubles.
Check out Kindle Fire HD . Screen Full HD, 8.9'' IPS. The screen is very good, the battery too, a reasonable price - $ 270 (in the USA, that is, without shipping).
Of the minuses, a rather strange, in terms of interface, add-on for Android with its own application store, but you can simply install Android.
Will Nexus 10 fit?
Sorry, a little pricey. but you can get it cheaper on ebay.
Fits perfectly to your requirements.
Under the listed requirements, if you are also considering readers with e-Ink, the rooted Nook without / with Glowlight
is
suitable
flashing with unlocked screen-refresh, multi-touch, usb-host, full-fledged android, Wifi is present. After rooting, we get almost a tablet, but with a b / w screen. I myself use it for similar tasks (learning, reading, simple games).
