Choosing a university for admission to it: HSE or Moscow State University?
Good afternoon!
I finish the 11th grade, respectively, I choose among the universities of Moscow where to enter.
The situation is not quite standard, I am a foreign citizen and, according to a separate competition, I was recommended for the budget for the HSE specialty Software Engineering. In general, this is a good option, but I have some doubts.
Since I passed the exam only in mathematics, but I have the opportunity to pass exams at the university, I am also considering the mathematics faculty of Moscow State University and VMK at Moscow State University.
I will explain my professional plans, interests and expectations from the university:
- I want to work in the field of IT (development, or ml, if development, then not the web, but something deeper)
- I would like physics at the university to a minimum, since it is completely I do not like
- I like math and it works out, it's embarrassing that there is quite a bit of it at the HSE PI, and for ml you need quite good knowledge in it -
Very interested in learning foreign languages, primarily English, but recently started German. I would like the university to somehow contribute to this
- I would like to receive fundamental knowledge from the university, and at the same time modern, without “grandmothers with basic”
- I also wanted to work in my specialty in senior years
There is an option to transfer from Software Engineering HSE Applied Mathematics and Informatics, as the knowledge there is more fundamental, but I don’t know if it’s worth it.
And yes, I perfectly understand that you can work in IT without education, etc. But I would like to get the most decent education
I would be glad to hear any information.
Perhaps, graduates/senior students of these faculties will read this question. I would like to communicate with such people in order to learn more about studying at the faculties (VK, telegram)
