Choosing a tablet for the elderly

Hello!

I was puzzled by the choice of a high-tech gift for an elderly person.
In android tablets, I don’t rummage at all, so I appeal to your help.

The tasks are as follows: viewing family photos, occasionally films, possibly books. From the Internet, most likely only Skype.

The screen would be about 8 inches, 4:3. Resolution 800x600, I think, is enough. Definitely capacitive.

Android version doesn't matter. You may have to install some kind of simplified shell, because. the recipient of the gift is still very far from technology, and the usability of Android, as far as I've seen, is very far from ideal. It will be great if someone recommends a launcher designed for the elderly or children.

You definitely need a front camera that works in Skype, it would be nice to have a full-size USB for connecting a flash drive. In extreme cases, OTG will do.

Another of the wishes is long battery life, low heat (I heard that some tablets sin with this), good build quality, responsive screen. The priority is on reliability, the ability to run 3D games and HD video is completely unimportant, the tablet is not taken for this.

An important condition: the tablet will be bought here, and not in China, this is fundamental. Those. interested in Chinese clones under the brands Digma, Ritmix, Texet, DNS, etc. There are so many models that your eyes just run wide, I would like to hear the advice of those who really used them.

The budget is about 6000, many models fit into it. However, if there is something much better for a little more money, then the bar can be raised.

UPDATE:

After a little research, I chose several models:

8 inch:
Explay 801 - a clone of the famous Teclast P85 tablet, costs about 6000.
Of the pluses - a 1024x768 screen, quite good (despite the fact that TN), loud sound, charging from Micro USB. A bunch of firmware and a large community, that's good.
Ritmix 830 - screen 800x600, price and other parameters are similar to Explay.
Hence the question: which screen will be more pleasant for a far-sighted person to look at? Potentially, at a lower resolution, the fonts will be larger, or am I mistaken? How does Android deal with font scaling?

9.7 inch (this is already about 8000, the highest ceiling in price):
Ritmix 1030 and Prestigio 5097 . "Aipad" screens are wonderful, a relative will be very pleased to receive an "almost the same" tablet as mine.
The most fundamental drawback is a VERY quiet sound (judging by the reviews and reviews on YouTube).
Hence another question : is it possible to forcibly raise the sound level in films? Maybe some software video players with the ability to level up? Headphones are not offered.

The most important characteristics of the tablet (IMHO):
1) Matrix type - only IPS matrices should be considered. TFT looks terrible.
2) A combination of screen size and tablet weight. To some, 7" seems hard, and 10" is hard to hold in their hands. Be careful when choosing.
3) Ability to insert a memory card (SD). If it is not there, and there is not enough internal memory, it will not be very convenient for watching movies, etc.
4) Availability of 3G. If the tablet is used only at home (where there is a WiFi router) or if there is a cell phone that distributes 3G over WiFi, then there is no problem. In other cases, you need to take a tablet with 3G support, otherwise it doesn’t make much sense if you can’t access the Internet on the street or in transport.

Haven't read everything, but the title makes sense. I bought a Chinese tablet 9.7 "i-JOY for such a case.
I think that the main thing is IPS, 9.7", OTG to connect an external screw with films, a battery. Do not need anything else. Well, the processor is still there. And yes, virtulki at least gig.
