Choosing a switch, is it worth taking one?

The switch is not a router. Not suitable for replacement.
In addition - rather yes.
You just need to understand what functions are needed in the switch and what is in this switch. (VLAN, POE, what else?)

The switch is basically normal, but you also need a router if you want to scatter cameras and computers across vlans

It is worth taking if you have such tight budget restrictions that you simply cannot do anything else. Planet - one of the most "inferior" manufacturers.
By the way, a router and a switch are fundamentally different things. The second can complement the first, but not replace it.

What is the budget and what is needed from the switch?
We successfully use HP, Cisco and Zyxel.
HP is relatively inexpensive, they know how to vlan, STP and are managed via the web.
