Choosing a specialty of education

Hello, dear users of Habr.

I am a 4th year student majoring in Instrumentation. Now, there is a desire to gain new knowledge at the “ Institute for Applied System Analysis”. The dilemma is that you have to choose between two main directions:

  1. Computer Engineering (CI)
  2. Systems Analysis (SA)

Based on these two areas, you can already choose a specialty.

In the direction of CI, there is a choice between artificial intelligence systems and information design technologies .

And in the direction of SA is available - system analysis and management.

In principle, both the first and second directions are equally interesting (so far I'm leaning towards the first, because there the bias is more on learning programming languages).

Interested in the opinion of users about the prospects and relevance (modernity) of the proposed training.
As well as a choice between three specialties.

PS Do not pass by :)

As far as I understand, there is a choice between the future of an engineer/programmer and the future of an architect/manager.
IMHO you can not take responsibility for the future of a stranger.
PS I just once chose the wrong thing, but if they had chosen the wrong thing for me, I would have been more angry.

I would choose ITP. I argue this by the fact that the materials of this course are more basic and have a wide range of possible further development.
AI is a narrower specialty. more matan and less architecture.
in the future, it is not a fact that you will write projects based on AI, because the knowledge of ITP will be more useful.
also knowing the ITP will make it easier for you to study artificial intelligence technologies.

Do not listen to anyone and go where your heart, mind and soul are closer to - your own happiness is much more important. Moreover, the modern world of IT is developing so rapidly that almost anything can gain sudden popularity and relevance.
And you can change the field of activity at any time - there would be a desire to learn something new.
