Check the quality of the site?
Hello! I made a website, very soon it will go into production.
I would like to ask your opinion about its quality, maybe some advice on what to fix (from what is especially striking)?
If someone sees spam in this, I want to immediately note 2 points:
- The site is on a test domain, so it's pointless to advertise it
- The site is closed from indexing by search engines (which can be seen in robots.txt)
Regarding the cant, which I know about and I would like to know why this is so:
At the top right, a small phone is drawn and 2 numbers are written in black.
The black color is obtained by setting css color: black;
On all devices where I checked (stationary phones, Nokia N8, netbook, browsershots service), the numbers are displayed normally, but they are not displayed on the Texet tablet through the OPERA Mini browser. The rest of the site looks exactly the same. What do you think could be the reason?
The site address is vamsms.ru (there is nothing about sms there, just the domain was lying around)
And, of course, thank you for your help!

Do we accept comments on design and typography?
Then now I'll get to the bottom of it
1) the active page is too unreadable. Blends into the background
2) “up” arrow, runs over at small sizes. It lies on the wrong z-index
3) the colors of the upper plate (and probably the lower one) do not match the button, is it intended?
3+-1) The phone icon has moved down a little, I would like to raise it.
I will give a slightly more technical assessment based on my personal experience with usability and client interfaces:
1. I was very confused when scrolling from the menu to the necessary sections, while part of the menu leads to other pages, and the other part to hashtags ... In the case of switching to hashtags on the main page, it clearly begs to pin the site header to the top of the screen so that it does not disappear from the visibility range (I understand that you provided a button to return to the top of the page, but in my opinion this is not the most convenient way out of the situation, which I personally do when building a standard site template would be avoided).
2. I also didn’t really like the “pop-up” form with a record that appears in a certain place when clicked. Here, it would probably be better to just have a pop-up window, which will be located either near the link on which the click is made, or in the center of the screen.
3. I will immediately note that you are not using CSS sprites. This leads to the fact that at some point, when hovering over links with a background, their background first disappears, and then when it loads, it appears with a short pause, during which the background is completely absent. This is a fairly common glitch, but fixing it is easy enough and best done.
4. On the "Tests" page, the disclosure of content is distorted, which is extremely unpleasant and creates a bad impression about the site as a whole. Such moments, if it is worth implementing, then you definitely need to bring it to mind so that everything works like clockwork.
5. On the pages "Proverbs" and "Articles" the unfolding effect is also reproduced with jambs.
6. Now about the layout. I am confused by the non-observance of indents in a number of moments and their distortion, the map in the footer of the site, the asymmetry of some elements in those places where symmetry is requested, the use of black on a red background, and to be completely honest - the first association that I had when visiting your site - "classmates" ...
I wish you to deal with all this and bring all the questions to mind by creating a good resource.
In "Upcoming Events" - The entry you have is like a pop-up / sliding block, but the interface and output do not fit into the overall design concept.
In the forms, white font on a light gray background - blood from the eyes.
http://vamsms.ru/Novosti/index.php?news=2' - you have error reporting enabled, but it would be better not (disclosing paths /home/p137679/www/vamsms.ru/Novosti/index.php). + Input data is not filtered, cast id to int.
file_get_contents(new_3.txt) nosql rocks :)
I don't know if it makes sense to explain what's wrong here. Why is there an indent on the right inside, but not on the left. Why is it not vertically centered.
In general, the typography on the page is terrible.
Look at the site on the iPad, something is wrong with the size, it does not fit completely.
Some kind of thing on the top right, apparently, the “up” arrow obscures the menu.
Articles do not fit in width. The unfolding of articles is not obvious, I want to read about the header, the top one unfolds. It would be better to expand by clicking on the title of the article, on the picture.
In general, I didn’t really like the site, or let’s put it this way - you need to want to use it because of inters, let’s say. Then you can get used to it. The forum is out of design, some links lead to scrolling, some to other pages. The title of the pages in capital letters, it somehow looks untidy.
Good luck!
Write the phone with +7 so that mobile phones would immediately identify the number on the page.
The up arrow/button should only appear after some scrolling down. Otherwise, it looks ridiculous near the menu, and in general there (in the header and menu area) is not needed and is misleading.
The indentation in the footer (the inscription "Light Systems, 2013") is not the same at the top and bottom, sloppy.
The icon (question mark) next to the address in the footer does not make sense.
The dividing runner at the bottom of the news in the footer is not needed.
Under the photo of the head, the lists of his merits - the subheadings "Education" and "Additional education" have different indents.
In the same lists, there are no vertical indents between unnumbered items - everything merges.
In the same lists and in the quote below them, the line heights are completely different, i.e. indents between lines. The same applies to the description of the center from above, there is inconsistency everywhere - you need to bring the height of the lines to a single standard everywhere.
The computer at the top is completely off topic - it hints at the IT theme of the site, and not psychological services. Why he ended up there - of course, it is much easier to insert a computer than to harmoniously introduce an illustration on the topic into the design.
News in the footer: watch icons are not in the cash register there (they are simply not needed); the size of the date shift needs to be reduced, because this is an element of secondary importance.
In the same place in contacts - it is more correct to center the text and icons in the middle of the height than at the top.
Frames (in buttons and three round icons) should be removed, because. they don't fit in with all the other borderless elements. It turns out a mixture of styles ... in general, not critical, but adds the impression of sloppiness and incompleteness.
Border in the header - it is not clearly visible, but gives sloppiness and blur. I would remove it for sure.
Above the head of the center is an absurd separator with three circles.
We have already written about layout - the presence of styles (style="...") in tags is the 90s.
The most interesting thing is that you include Google fonts in the layout, but they are not used anywhere in the styles.
Those. you are forcing the user to download completely unnecessary things, like 300kb.
<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald:400,300' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' />
<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Abel|Satisfy' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' />
