Changing the menu (navbar) on the main opencart Version 2.0.3.1 (rs.2)?

Good day.
Gave work with opencart 2, there is a navbar with items:

As you can see, there are 2 identical items (they were already there before me and not links). Any changes to the file (header.tpl from \catalog\view\theme\default\template\common) do not give changes, I tried to put html tags, duplicate the code in order to see the changes - the result is zero (I also tried to google). Huge bewilderment, and I don’t understand where the legs grow from variables ($ text_category , for example).
Tell me what's wrong? Or where do the legs come from? Where is this list stored?

Forgot to clear modifier cache
Look in the controller, $text_category variables are usually text variables from language files.
