Change properties of svg connected via object?

There is svg, a very large svg and therefore I don’t want to insert it inline. I need to change the fill of some path elements on hover, I think that you can then insert svg through object and change properties through js, tell me how, I searched the Internet and did not find anything that would solve my problem.
