Change profession after 37?
Good afternoon.
I decided at the age of 37 to enter IT, or rather to return. Since in his student years he worked as a system administrator. Mostly enikeys, but I still understand how TCP IP works and how it differs from UDP.
I plan to develop in the field of DevOps. Started working out a couple of weeks ago.
At the moment I know Linux at the level of an advanced user (Basic GNU Utilities), I can set up a network, etc. I work in the terminal, I connect via SSH (MobaExterm), I can open an LXC container, etc.
The next step is to study WEB (Nginx, Apache) Ansible services and technologies (I want to be able to configure and upload servers to AWS).
At the same time I am learning Python.
I understand that Dev Ops is a set of practices, so in a month I plan to get a job in which thread of the hosting provider. ;-) To the position of a support engineer or something like that. Accordingly, I have a question, how realistic is this?
ps
Salary is not important. Secured for life. ;-)
