CEPH: how to mount CephFS on a machine with an old (3.16) kernel?

Actually, subject. On some servers it is not possible to update the kernel, you need to use "what is". I tried the option with FUSE - the speed is just awful. Is there any way to mount CephFS without touching the client kernel?
