Today I asked myself the need to raise an FTP server on a server with CentOS 5.5. Installed vsftpd 2.0.5 (from the remi turnip), in the configuration I changed only access to anonymous. When connecting and uploading files through Total Commander, everything is just fine, but not a single IDE (NetBeans, PhpStorm, Eclipse) either does not see the files on the server at all, or returns a “500 Illegal PORT command” error. How can this be fixed?

Enable ftp passive mode in ide?

Look at what you have in vsftpd.conf what are the port_* directives
