CentOS 6.8 - how to set up a network in backup when changing VPS?
Hello.
There is a fully configured CentOS 6.8 on a VPS server from one host. There was a need to move to another host. At the same time, I do not want to configure everything from scratch.
I made a backup of the first server using Mondo Rescue, and installed the OS from it on another.
I ran into the expected problem: the new VPS has different IP and MAC addresses, and of course the network does not work.
Error eth1 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
Google suggested such a solution mai.pmoproject.ru/display/VIRT/CentOS+eth0+not+present but it did not help me. Maybe I did something wrong, or there is some other problem. If it may be important, of course there is no access via SSH now, I am sitting through VNC.
It seems to me that it would be best to somehow do a complete reset of all network settings, so that the system itself would re-create all the necessary files correctly, as it happens at the first start with a clean installation.
But how to do that? I can't find it on google.
Or can my problem be solved in another way?

Everything ingenious is simple, and this has been confirmed once again. rm /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
- delete the old file and reboot. Everything works as it should!
