CDN hosting for Russia

Hello dear colleagues, soon we are opening a new project and now I am considering different options for CDN hosting so that users can quickly get what they want. How relevant is it to use the same CloudFront for Russia? Or Cloudflare? Or is it easier to set up a server in Moscow that will work on nginx and give statics? Maybe someone conducted speed tests for Russia from CloudFront or Cloudflare?
Thank you!

Set up a server with nginx, save money on the first couple. If it does not cope, it will be possible to connect a caching CDN. Megafon has a similar service . There is a trial period.

OnApp offers a very extensive cloud network . Including in the main cities of Russia.
The price primarily depends on the region. Some cloud owners charge almost zero prices when they enter the market, and it's not easy to raise them later.
Before putting the cloud on the market, OnApp tests it for performance, so there should be no problems with speed. But there are no tests and reputation “by accessibility”. There is an element of the lottery in this question.
Cloudflare, IMHO, is not very relevant for our region.

If your main audience is Russia and the CIS, then I advise the Russian CDN, namely cdnvideo.ru points of presence throughout Russia and the CIS, Europe, America.
I tested CloudFront and Cloudflare, content from America was given, the ping is naturally high, so using their service is not an option in Russia, it makes no sense because, as far as I know, they do not have points in Russia.
Having rented a server on m9, I cover all the cities of major cities of Russia without any problems, if you have a project with heavy static, a lot of pictures, videos or video streams, then CDN will be very relevant to you, since under normal load the channels will clog and some of the clients will fall off or they will start glitching (you have to buy a large bandwidth, and this is expensive) and if you are DDoSed, since CDNs can withstand very heavy loads ))

CloudFlare is not adapted for the domestic market. In addition, there are problems with search engines and how they perceive the site. Cloudflare blocks access to robots.txt - this is the loss of 1/3 of free traffic. As already mentioned, there are questions about the speed of distribution of content.
It makes sense to contact the CDN market leaders Akamia and Incapsula . Renting a server in the cloud from Selectel will close the issue, they are signed with both of these providers. A worthy competitor is Servers.ru . But, Selectel will have a lower price for the same services.

Have you looked at NGENIX ? Very large, covering almost the entire country.

There is also Airee for distribution and optimization of statics - airee.ru

Strange, no one wrote about CDNNow - CDN with servers in Russia and the CIS. Also a good network, the tariffs are average for the market
