Can you please use the WinXP -> Win7 application converter?

There is a program old but necessary in everyday life. The distribution kit uses firebird, some libraries.
does not want to start on the seven, even in compatibility mode.
Tell me, have anyone come across similar utilities that accurately solve this issue?

It is impossible in the general case: if there are no necessary APIs in 7, no automation will help. If the program uses hardwired paths (which are no longer in 7-ke) - the same thing. And a couple of dozen potential problems that make an automatic solution impossible.

If this is not quite a mossy antiquity, which should not work, then the possible problems are:
- the program tries to write something to a folder for which it does not have rights in the seven
- there are spaces in the paths to the folders (temp for example) that the program needs, Cyrillic, etc.
- the necessary libraries are missing
And it would be nice to look at the text of the error.

VirtualBox - a cardinal solution, but 100% effective

Virtual machine with XP, or linux + wine.
ps
By the way, I'm surprised that there is still no Vine for Windows. Repeatedly met programs that plow under the vine, but do not plow under the seven or plow incorrectly.

Spoon studio, but not the fact that it will help in your task, although I solved many compatibility problems and to use it you need to either find a parrot and an eye patch , or sell some organ to buy a license (for over 2.5k$). PS The organ doesn't necessarily need to sell yours ;)
