Can you measure volume with a multimeter?

There is an old stereo player, there is a preamp with volume, tone and balance controls and two identical amplifiers for the left and right speakers.
If you connect the same speaker to the left and right channels, the volume level is noticeably different.
I want to see the volume level at the input to the amplifier in order to localize the problem (amplifier or preamplifier). Is there any way to do this with a multimeter?

The multimeter does not work well at audio frequencies. It may not show a voltage of tens or hundreds of mV at all. If it shows at least something, you can try. You don't need exact values, just an "equal to not equal" comparison. An analog gauge would be better.
Better yet, an oscilloscope.
Or you can just send a signal to the sound system and measure the levels in any audio editor.

www.jssor.com is a very good tool for this.

Step by step, as painted, do it. In general, the task is not simple, but if you take each individual item, then everything is simple. What exactly are you having a problem with?
How to make fadeIn? how to change opacity with js What specifically causes difficulty?
