Can you help the “teapot” deal with VPN?

VPN is often used to access a corporate network from the outside and to connect segments of a corporate network. But I still can't figure out if both of these solutions are compatible or not?
Ie, is it possible to implement both the association of segments of the corporate network and access from the outside at the same time? I understand that if so, then not all means, probably, will allow this to be done. If so, which ones?
