Can the file size be changed?

Hello.
There is a site on Bitrix, more than 10,000 products with pictures have already been uploaded there. Pictures are horrible, there are JPG, JPEG, PNG. Of course, they also weigh differently, but in any case, the smallest is 250Kb. Is there any way to change these pictures, or do I have to delete these, edit and upload them back?
And is there any other way to limit the size of the uploaded image?
