I tried to install vestacp, got this:

Following packages are already installed:
httpd

It is highly recommended to remove them before proceeding.
If you want to force installation run this script with -f option:
Example: bash vst-install-rhel.sh --force

Error: Control Panel should be installed on clean server.

So I understand that everything needs to be demolished and reinstalled?

Almost all control panels are put on a clean system.
We recommend installing a fresh OS, setting up the panel and transferring sites.
