Can't login to PhpMyAdmin Ubuntu 18. What should I do?

Good afternoon. Ubuntu 18 has LAMP installed. On the local PhpMyAdmin opens with a request to log in. I can’t log in under Ruth, there are no other users either. How do you even get to the menu so that you can create databases? I found some solutions, but they are already old and not working. Who faced this already?

On Ubuntu in MySQL 5.7, by default, authentication is organized using the auth_socket plugin WITHOUT PASSWORD.
Access is from the console. You can log in as root and change the authentication method, here is an instruction for example (see point 3)
