Can't git push and ssh on some public wifi networks, why?
In some places, such as cafes, git push and ssh do not work. Nothing happens. You run the command and it hangs, after a minute it falls off. Ports closed? How to get around this for these 2 cases?

Something like this is included there:

Because of this, a significant part of sites and network technologies do not work.
VPN helps.
Three letters: VPN.
And in cafes and other public networks, it would be better if it was always on.
Many public hotspot providers leave only ports 80/443/53(UDP) available for outgoing traffic, if you have such problems then use https as an option.
It is also not uncommon, in an attempt to protect the admin interfaces of access devices, that they cut off port 22 in the firewall, not really messing with the specifics in the firewall rule and as a result they cut off all traffic on port 22, but the rest works as expected.
