Can't change keyboard layout using keyboard shortcuts?
OS: Ubuntu
After installation, I configured the keyboard layout change to "Shift + L-Ctrl", then removed the standard working environment and installed ubuntu-gnome-desktop. Now I can only change the layout using the GUI. In the program for attaching tasks to key combinations, I cannot change the combination because it does not respond to "Shift + L-Ctrl" || "Shift+L-Alt"

Also recently switched from Unity to XFCE. You need to clean up all the remnants of Unity (although a clean installation of Xubuntu / Kubuntu / Ubuntu GNOME is desirable - we are waiting for the release in April):
In the search for the Ubuntu Software Center, drive in unity
and demolish all programs that have this name. Personally, I can change the layout to alt + shift. Clean up extra packages sudo apt-get autoremove
if you haven't already.
Try re-entering the layout settings and setting a different switch combination. Surprisingly, such an obvious event without any dancing helped me.
had a similar issue on gnome-session-fallback. System update and reboot helped. It is reproduced periodically, but I still fly like that. There was a topic on the stack
