Can Ruby be used for everyday tasks?
I am interested in such a question - what examples of using ruby in everyday tasks are there? For example, our SEO sometimes asks us to fill in some fields - by type - take the text from one field, cross it with the text. Is it possible to write a program for this in Ruby? What would she automatically take the selected text and generate? I'm not interested in how to do this. So, in theory, can this be done?

No problem, you can build an exe file for windows, add a gui like shoes / visual ruby and it will be like a regular program
Ruby is a general purpose language; you can do everything in it that you can do in c++, c#, c, say. Although, the vast majority of languages are considered general purpose languages today.
